Northern Kentucky Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates has been one of the top practices in the Greater Cincinnati and tri-state area for more than 30 years.
Dr. Jacobs is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who strives to provide quality and compassionate care for his patients. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and completed his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Ohio State University. He specializes in many procedures of the head, neck, and mouth including tooth extraction, wisdom tooth removal, placement of dental implants, bone grafting, facial trauma surgery, biopsies, and corrective jaw surgery. With the ability to deliver general anesthesia and IV sedation, he provides surgery in a comfortable atmosphere and helps patients alleviate their dental anxiety. Dr. Jacobs is a diplomate to the Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is currently a member of the following professional organizations:
Dr. Jacobs is a sports enthusiast and enjoys cheering on teams around the tri-state. In his spare time, he is usually outdoors partaking in activities such as hiking, fishing, or playing a round of golf. As a northern Kentucky native, he cherishes the opportunity to provide excellent care to the patients in the community in which he grew up.
Dr. Sleet completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Kentucky. Upon admission to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, he realized early in his training that his interests were centered around the surgical aspects of Dentistry. Dr. Sleet received his post-doctoral residency and surgical training at the University of Louisville and received his medical degree (MD) from there as part of the rigorous 6-year dual-degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program. Dr. Sleet joined as a partner at Northern Kentucky Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates once he completed his training. Throughout his career, Dr. Sleet has maintained his credentials for membership in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Sleet currently resides in Fort Mitchell with his wife Amy and has three children. Outside of his busy surgical practice he enjoys supporting Beechwood High School and The University of Kentucky athletics programs. He also enjoys time spent playing tennis, cycling, and running, and wishes he had more time for snow skiing in the Western United States.
Dr. Mencarelli was born and raised in western Michigan. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he first discovered his appreciation and preference for the surgical aspects of the dental field. After his time at the University of Michigan, he completed a 1-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Kentucky, following which, he was accepted to and completed the 6-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program including receiving his medical degree (MD). He has achieved board certification and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and an avid participant in multiple local dental and oral surgical societies. Dr. Mencarelli specializes in many aspects of oral surgery including IV sedation, tooth extraction, dental implant placement, treatment of dental infections, diagnosis and treatment of oral pathology, and many more.
While in Lexington Dr. Mencarelli met his wife and they started building their family. The Mencarellis decided to make the tri-state area their home due to the multitude of activities, proximity to many of their closest friends, and it is a middle ground to family they have all around the country.
Outside of practicing oral surgery, Dr. Mencarelli enjoys spending time with family and friends. As a family man, his top priority is being a dad to his growing children and a husband to his wife.
